HI my friends!!!!!!
Its that time again! I am selling sets of Christmas cards. I take great care in paying attention to the small details that make my cards unique. I started selling them three years ago and I have built up a nice clientele.
This year I am opening my cards to my online friends.
The following cards are the first sets that I will be showcasing.
The first one is a lovely poinsetta. Its a stamped image and then heat embossed with black powder. What this mean, it creates a raised effect, so the cards are very textural.
I hand painted them with a watercolor called "Twinkling H20's". It makes them SO pretty. Each of the cards are edged with a gold leafing pen, creating a very elegant
look. This particular one I used vintage lace to hold a lovely "Merry Christmas" sentiment.
Each card is slightly different, whether it be a lovely sparkily gold glitter star brad, or an antique mini star brad. Christmas cards to me are elegant and that is what I strive for!
The second set is a vintage Santa, the Santa is stamped on a piece of vellum which is then layered on top of pretty cardstock. These cards are in a light blue, cream and brown. Very elegant!
A lovely pretty bow with a small diamond like gem enhances the card, along with the word "Joy" rubber stamped. The card has small details that the camera does not capture, In the beard of the Santa I use an awesome Gel pen that writes with a silver sparkily ink and it makes the card POP!
Again each of these cards are similar but each one if different. You may get one that is the same, however each card is hand embellished.
Inside each of these cards is a lovely Christmas sentiment.
" Have A Holly Jolly Christmas."
The envelopes are embossed with a really pretty scroll pattern. Here is a link tht shows what the pattern looks like.
PRETTY SCROLL PATTERNS.
Please leave me a comment if you interested.
The prices are as follows:
$5.00 a piece
OR
5 for $20.00
OR
10 for $30.00
Standard $5.00 Shipping no matter where you are, FOR THE 5 AND 10 PACK AND $2.50 FOR THE SINGLES. THESE PRICES ARE ACTUALLY BELOW MY POSTAGE COST SO ITS REALLY JUST TO HELP OUT WITH MAILING COSTS.
Stay tuned for Angel Cards by MOI! <3

Just Keep Swimming
Hi my art friends! I have a fun tag that I created just for YOU!
I have been selected to be on the VIVA LAS VEGASTAMP DESIGN TEAM! Its a company in the United States that has thousands of unique rubber stamps, along with other art supplies.
So I am really excited to part of an awesome fun company.
Here is the complete tag I made:
Here is the stamp I used
The link to the stamp
FISHY CRACKER.
Its 1x 1 1/4 inches. I love it. I love to draw mermaids so I am sure you are going to see me use this cute little stamp again.
Here is a pic of the supplies I used.
1. Versamark ink pad
2. White embossing powder
3. White shipping tag
4. Twinkling H2Os
5. Water brush
6. The fishy cracker stamp
Note shown:
1. Sea Salt
2. Various pens for doodling.
First stamp the fish with the Versamark ink Pad, this is a clear ink, sprinkle the white embossing powder and heat emboss.
Once that is done, moisten the Twinkling H2O's with water and let them soften up a bit. Then begin to randomly paint over the entire tag. Don't worry about getting the watercolor paints on the stamp fish as the white embossed area acts like a resist.
While it is wet lightly sprinkle some sea salt on the wet areas.
Let it dry completely and then once dry wipe the sea salt off, it will leave small layered spots where the salt sucked up the paint.
Add some personal writing and doodles and a lovely art tag will appear!
This tag was inspired by "Finding Nemo". The scene where Nemo and is sad and about ready to give up and Dory played by the awesome Ellen Degeneres - but anyways she sings a song
"Hey Mr Grump Gills
You know what you gotta do when life gets you down?
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming
Just keep swimming swimming swimming
What do we do we swim, swim, swim
OH HO HO How I love to swim
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to swim you want to swim"
So this tag was made to inspire YOU, that no matter what, just keep swimming.
Just keep reaching for your hopes and dreams. Just keep doing what your soul and heart tells you.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine so much inspiration. (click on each name to be taken to their blog.
Here is my little bit of love inspiration.
So the theme is Harvest. As i thought about fall i began thinking about my favorite part of the Fall season. Halloween and my love of skulls. For they have a very personal meaning to me. So to me, I made a connection HARVEST-FALL-HALLOWEEN-SKULLS.
We were given some Amazing Mold Putty, i was quite skeptical. WAS is the important part of that sentence. OMG, you take each parts of the Amazing Mold Putty smoosh it together for a quick 15 to 20 seconds (NO longer as it will set and then be no good)
Find something you want to make a mold of, for me it was this awesome little heart locket.
SO small but it worked, i am always wanting a very small heart. Once you have the Putty mixed up immediately press it into your object and mold it up and around. Let it set for about 15 minutes, pop it out and then voila your have a mold.
It really is quite an AMAZING product.
So my other passion is ATC's. Artist trading cards! BTW I have over 3000!
So i rolled out a sheet of Creative PaperClay (I utterly adore this clay!) to the size of an Artist Trading Card, which is 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. I pressed some of my favorite rubber stamps into the clay, this time it was a heart scroll and a skullie.
Let it dry! I usually let mine dry overnight and once it dries i then iron it flat, it does curl alittle. I then painted it with some Crystal Lacquer. That makes it non porous, which is what i want for my project.
Then let the painting begin! I squirted some Alcohol Inks on it, played around with some Rub N Buff, Highlighted with some White Paint and some Sakura Souffle pens.
The key for me is layers.
That little heart i made from my mold i put right in the middle of the card. It was a perfect addition to my ATC.
I added some Martha Stewart chunk glitter and a few star sequins.
Lets just say i LOVE my card.
I hope this inspires you.
PLEASE visit the other blogs and say hi and i believe on the AMAZING MOLD PUTTY BLOG there is a voting for the art project with the most votes.

More HeArt
Art to me is very personal.
Hearts show up as a way to tell the world via art how I am feeling.
Today I am feeling, hmmmmm melancholy.
Melancholy- A deep, pensive, and long-lasting sadness
So here is my little bound up heart
A little blue heart, Creative Paperclay® is awesome in that you can use it to express feelings, happy or sad, this heart was created by rolling out a small ball and then pressed down to the depth I wanted it, this is about 1/8 of inch and then using a cookie cutter, just like you would if you were cutting out cookies.
~*Remember.....Do not use equipment on food after you have used it on the clay!~**
I then painted it using blue metallic paint by Jaquard, and distressed using a awl or whatever sharp thing you have. (this is all done after the clay has dried)
I punched some holes in the clay and laced it up with some twine i had.
Here is a pic of a piece of clay dried and then punched with a hole. This is to show it does not crack! You can punch holes in it. Its not a brittle clay.
I hope you create some HeArt!

“Viva Las VegaStamps! DT Tryout”.
Representing myself......
How does one in a short amount of time and space, represent?
How do I tell this company how passionate I am about art?
How do I really tell them art saved my life, therefore I create straight from my heart.
Well I guess I just show them my style. And even that....hmmmmm
But here is goes anyways
This small (1 1/2 inches by 1 inch) opens up to a become a star, thus the name "Starbook". It has rubber stamped "Art" on the front, and you can't tell but the butterfly has Tim Holtz "Rock Candy" on it, to give it lots of textures. There is also lots of distressing going on here.
This greeting card, has SO many layers, most of the stamping was done using the Letraset Aquamarkers, (YUMYY!) there is heat embossing, metal embossing, Cheery Lane Design - die cuts, brads, stickers, tag, distressing with ink pads also~! SO multi-layered!
Last but not least is a hand drawn little sun nymph. I included this one because i wanted to show that rubber stamping is ART! The sun stamped diamond is stamped with a permanent ink, and then i sewed a small pillow. It was stamped on Tyvek, and then dyed with twinkling H2Os!
WHEW! I hope I am selected.

ANgel of the Moment
Yesterday was a day of revelations. My dad was riding his bike one moment , the next moment he remembers he is laying on a gurney waiting for the helicopter to fly him to a shock trauma hospital, over an hr away.
He was hit by a truck.
I am 10 hrs away. Its a scary time to know a loved one is hurting and there is nothing I can do.
He is ok. traumatized, brusied, scared and alive and home.
I talked to him this morning, its like he said "One moment, thats all it takes."
So my newest heart angel is called the "Angel of the Moment."
She began with a heart that is shaped with tissue paper and lace.
Paint was swished and splattered and once dried, the angel image appears.
Isn't she sweet?
Art helped me through yesterday.
She is for sale. Its my going home for Christmas fund, if interested please contact me , leave a comment.
$175.00 and postage.

Creative PaperClay TIPS
Creative Paperclay is alot of fun to play and experiment with!
Here is what i did yesterday.
Grabbed my fav supplies, pretty rubber stamps and Creative Paperclay.
I impressed the rubberstamp into the clay, using water as a release.
What this mean is rub a small bit of water over the entire stamp, once impressed into the clay it will come out easier.
While the clay was moist I gently cut out the butterfly.
TIP: WHILE THE CLAY IS MOIST PINCH AND GENTLY MOLD THE BUTTERFLY WINGS, SO WHEN THEY DRY THEY HAVE A DIMENSIONAL LOOK TO THEM. IT MAKES THE WINGS LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE JUST LANDED!
Once painted these will look really pretty and dimensional. The finished project is for later this month.
STAY TUNED.

Heart Angel Series
I have begun a new series of paintings. They are called the Heart angel Series. I start with a textural heart shape.
Can you see fainting the heart shape?
The Heart is made with tissue paper folded and scrunched over and over and then glued with gel medium.
I then choose my colors i want to use and randomly, with lots of water i start splashing it on there, letting the paint drip and flow. This part is important, i tried not to control it just letting it emerge the way it needs to.
Down at the bottom i made sure the paint was wet and I scrunched up a shopping bag , you know the kind we are now having to PAY 5 cents for?
Yes those! Now some artist use wax paper or plastic wrap. I did not have either of these so remember to use what you have!!!!!!
Isn't that SO cool looking?
Now the next part i can't show you, as the angel appeared the next morning. I honestly am telling you, she was there, it made MY heart happy. And so began this journey of HEART Angels!
Isn't she pretty?
There is loads of textures, pretty little stars (fallen straight from the heavens above) and crystals to adorn her halo.
Want one of your own? Leave me a comment, lets start a convo. She measures 12x24 inch. Cost : ON SALE 150.00 Canadian plus shipping. (I charge actual post, NO hidden fees)

BUSY Mama
WOW can i just say i am PUPPY tired. I must have the smartest puppy in the world. She learned to sit in 24 hrs. Has learned to walk with her leash and me within minutes (she found out people thought her to be quite cute, and she loves the attention). She loves to swim, loves to play and is very very active.
LOL She looks like she is in jail! She really does well in her crate, sleeps the whole night through and is quite content. Trust me she spends very little time in there. We keep her very active. A happy puppy is a tired puppy.
I am in the middle of cleaning my art space. WOW i have a lot of stuff. But i have some big commissions coming up and feel more inspired to create with a clean/organized space. Tomorrow morning am off to the beach for an hr or so to collect some rocks and then will work on it some more in the afternoon, i hope to have it done by then. AND then my husband gave me these IKEA wooden CD shelves and i plan on altering them to hang on the wall so i can put organize a little more. BIG happy grins!!
So before i go, how about a little fun art.
Art is so much fun!~

Butterfly Kisses
I am a couple days behind my scheduled Creative PaperClay post, for that i apologize! Life is VERY busy right now with our 8 wk old puppy. And Yes I am completely in LOVE with her.
But as they say the show must go on....LOL
Today this tutorial is inspired by nature. A few months ago my family and I went to the Butterfly Conservatory here in Niagara Falls. (If you ever get a chance to go to a Butterfly exhibit please do so, its truly magical)
Here are a few gorgeous pictures that inspired me and perhaps inspire you.
They say Mother Nature never lies. How true, colors are perfectly matched and so pretty.
Today I am working with "Delight - AirDry Modeling Clay" Its abit different than "Creative PaperClay" ,
1. The color is snow white and it dries white.
2. Its is very lightweight.
Its also similar!
1. It's an airdry clay. No firing, no baking is needed!
2. Takes paint, any paint, very well!
I did not take a picture of the beginning, but its rather simple, take a piece of clay and roll it into a ball. (Depends on how big you want your bowl to be will determine the size of the ball of clay)
Begin to mold it into a bowl. I took one of my old bowls to help me mold my clay around the bowl so that I could get the size right.
Once I got the size i wanted I took my favorite rubber stamp of a butterfly and stamp directly into the clay to leave an impression. I then painted it completely black.
I gathered a few fun supplies, some mica pearl ex powders , an old paintbrush. and some acrylic meadium.
I then began to layer the different pearl ex powders by mixing them with the acrylic medium.
****Sidenote - Acrylic medium can really be anything: elmers glue, golden gel medium, mod podge. Mica powders need something to make them stick to whatever you are painting them on, and if you can't afford Mica powders - Use your old eye shadows! Create your own Mica Powders by mixing them with a little glitter!*****
When doing this kind of layering you either have to work fast or wait for each layer to dry!
And as always i love to embellish, "Delight" is really nice , I was able to put holes in it to hang the little leaves on it and it does not crack.
I initially made this for my workstation to put paperclips in it, to remind me of the beauty of nature, the grace of a butterfly and to remind me Mother Nature never lies! (grins) My mom had other ideas.....she took it home with her. LOL

Back In the Saddle
Artist trading cards - (ATC'S) Have always had a special place in my art world, but to be honest its been a couple of years since i actually participated in a swap. BUT I'mmmmmmmmmmm bacccckkkkkkkkkkkk! LOL Here are a couple i have made over the last day, i have been suffering from some severe nerve pain. It was better yesterday but today its been pretty bad so to take my mind off my woes i created some ATCs.
These are Laurel Birch inspired Cat art, created using Promarkers by Letraset and gold gel pen by Pentel and a white gel pen by Sakura, i think the black background one needs a little something so that one may change.
Little Red Riding hood, for my June partner over at iATCs.com. This one was done with Graphtint by Derwent. I have since joined three other swaps. Swaps are so much fun as i created and mail my cards to the host and then at the duedate in a few weeks i receive awesome art from all over the world all for the price of a stamp and creating. Art on sistahs~! L. ANg
